How many steps daily to lose weight
We finally got the app working since November. I swim most days instead of walking — I think 35 minutes or swimming more than makes up for not walking 10, steps a day. Hope this sheds some light on how we calculate steps!
Walking can be a part of a healthy weight loss program. The first step is to assess your current activity level.

Is there really a point? Walking more — or increasing your activity throughout the day — absolutely has positive health benefits. Additionally, the American Heart Association notes that a brisk walk can lower risk of high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes if performed and maintained over time.
But how magical is 10, steps? Can taking 10, steps a day cause meaningful changes in your body composition and help you lose body fat? There are a couple likely reasons why taking 10, steps has rooted so firmly in our minds.

You can break it up. Do 5, in the morning, and then do the rest in the evening. If you can, throughout the day take a walk during lunch, maybe part farther away at the store and walk to the entrance. By evening you may have to only dosteps.
